Hello and welcome!
Laura Owen, originally from Houston, TX, planted her roots in Los Angeles in pursuit of her dream of acting. Her open mindedness and whimsical ways have led her to experience much of what LA has to offer- from working as a stunt double for Kerry Kenny (Reno 911!), to studying at DJ Scratch Academy, making her own jewelry and headband line, and forming her own business in children’s entertainment. She has also been a dancer since the age of 3 and continues to perform, she loves singing, yoga, and playing with her hilarious Jack Russell/Shih Tzu named Tiggy!
After receiving her BA in Political Science from American University in Washington, DC, Laura was accepted to study at the British American Dramatic Academy in Oxford, England. She has since studied with Eric Morris, Martin Barter of the Meisner Center. Laura explains that "The Meisner Center has really helped sculpt me as a person and as an actress. I have grown immesurably and loved the experience. They taught me the most fundamental thing - that acting is the ability to live truthfully under the given imaginary circumstances." She has continued her studies with Michelle Danner at Edgemar Center for the Arts, among others. Her work can be seen in various films and TV shows (CSI: Miami).
While Laura has a passion for intense drama, she has found herself emerging as a strong comedic actress, and has since pursued developing and staring in the hilarious new web comedy “It’s So LA”. Her interests in writing and producing content have inspired her to form LEO Entertainment, LLC. She is incredibly excited to see where LA takes her next. Laura is a proud member of SAG, AFTRA and AEA.
