Laura Owen is a SAG/AFTRA actress in Los Angeles, CA.
She was born and raised in Houston, TX where she spent her time dancing, riding horses, working on musical theatre and traveling. She is a sweet, quirky girl with an addiction to house music. She's got a different laugh for every occasion yet also has a deeply sensitive side which allows her to relate to all types of peopel and situations.
Laura got her first break as a stunt double for Kerry Kenney on Reno 911! In the summer of 2009 she landed her first co-star role as a nurse on "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" (Discovery Health). She has acted in a multitude of films, plays and webseries, and is currently associate producing and staring in an Untitled Webseries Comedy for the ISL Network (www.ISLNetwork.com) Laura is also currently a featured/recurring Miami Dade Police Officer on CSI: MIAMI.
In addition to her numerous acting gigs, Laura has also worked as a fit model for Brooke Shields. She was a promotional model for Sony Pictures ZombieLand at the 2009 Comic Con and has done various runway shows.
Laura has extensive training ranging from BADA (British American Dramatic Academy)and Groundlings to currently studying with Eric Morris and Bernard Hiller. Laura graduated an intensive two year program at Meisner Center in North Hollywood in June of 2008.
Laura explains that "The Meisner Center has really helped sculpt me as a person and as an actress. I have grown immesurably and loved the experience. They taught me the most fundamental thing - that acting is the ability to live truthfully under the given imaginary circumstances."
